We have a fantastic opportunity in our Technical Support Team based in Neuwied, Germany. This is a challenging role in which you will assist operations in EMEA in the field of Ironmaking. This covers the Ironmaking process and Direct Reduction Units.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and address customer technical needs, recommending suitable refractory products or developing refractory solutions and concepts
- Develop technical concepts for iron applications, such as casthouse design and THC selection
- Prepare technical and economical offers in response to RFQs, including savings and benefit evaluations
- Coordinate with the project department for the creation of technical drawings and bills of material
- Support troubleshooting, root caus analysis, and present new product developments to customers
Requirements:
- University degree in metallurgy, refractory or ceramics, material science or a related engineering field, with over 3 years of industry experience
- Expertise in refractory technologies and ironmaking processes, with proficiency in English and German
- Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and manage priorities effectively
- Excellent communications and Teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- High willingness to travel (up to 30%) and adaptability to a multicultural environment
