Job Description:
Job Summary:
This person is responsible for providing technical support to a list of MPS key customers, as well as providing technical support for a defined region of France (the exact area will be adjusted depending on the location of the hired person). His main goal is to engage with key customers and secure design wins incorporating MPS products and services. He will also interface with MPS distributors in his region, giving technical support as well as training on MPS products.
The suitable candidate has a strong technical background in power management, problem-solving skills and the will and ability to communicate with customer.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for promoting and recommending MPS products to customers
• Responsible for helping customer solve their technical problems
• Work closely with MPS product division marketing and engineering teams to identify target applications/circuits to win designs and expand penetration at both new and existing customers
• Develop and grow design engineering relationships at strategic customers • Identify new customer targets and new applications to engage and expand the MPS customer base • Understand current and emerging customers technical needs and share it internally at MPS to improve tactical and strategic product positioning
Desired attributes:
• Technical ability to support the entire MPS product portfolio (power management products) and understand targeted applications
• Ability to interface directly with customers and solve customer problems at board level, including (and not limited to): MPS product recommendation, schematic and PCB layout reviews, solving EMI-related issues
• Ability to interface technically with experienced engineers (directly and through phone calls and videoconferences), as well as with distributors and buyers
• Strong interpersonal skills such as active listening, collaboration, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and adaptability
• Ability and willingness to interface with MPS sales engineer, direct and executive managers, and product divisions (in English, both written and oral)
• Strong presentation skills
• Willing to travel within the sales region several days a week
• Self-motivated to work as an individual contributor in a home office
Requirements:
• Strong Analog Electronics skills, Power Supply design background preferred
• Fluent in French, good English level
